PORTRAITS

The flagrant use of photocopies in early portraits has now given way to acrylic studies using photography, and oil paintings from sketched studies, bringing new and endless potential to the work. 53 new works feature in ‘We Are Not A Muse’, the forthcoming exhibition of self-portraits and portraits of nine women, including the artist’s mother, representing the nine Muses of Greek mythology that gave artists the necessary inspiration for creation. The exhibition is accompanied by a Dolby Atmos surround sound film that screens simultaneously within the gallery.
