So begins the blurb for the TV series and 2 hour made for TV movie which Thompson created with Nick Chilvers, and directed in Spain in 1985. It’s a time he looks back on with a sense of relief, that although the series was horribly mutilated (and there’s that unpleasant voice over), the end product was suitably bizarre and still retained its sense of fun.
